I spotted this one on Friday at 24FPS but I was unable to post the trailer as it didnt have a code to let me post it here but now Twitch have and you can check the teaser for MR ZOMBIE after the break.
This is a directoral debut from South Korean Lee Soo-seong its a new spin on the zombie sub-genre and this is a comedy with a slight difference Mr Zombie isn't trying to us mere mortals, no he's trying to save the dead souls that crave our flesh, crazy stuff but it does look good wholesome low budget fun....

Young-cheol loses his job and moves to a quiet town and works at a chicken restaurant. Near broke all he ever gets in the mail are reminders for unpaid bills. His wife tells him to send money, his daughter is embarrassed of her father, but when he thinks of his daughter in a wedding dress, he can't help but smile. A regular guest at his restaurant is a young man who is jobless. He always eats on credit. One day, his mom gets mad at him for not having a job and he bites her on the arm. After this, everyone in town starts to act very strangely. Young-cheol gets bitten and soon discovers the he, like much of the townsfolk have become Zombies. If finding out you're now a fully paid up member of the living dead isn't bad enough news, the loan shark he owes money too kidnaps his wife and daughter and threaten their lives if he doesn't pay up. For hurting his family, he prepares to fight against them. What kind of things will an undead, unkillable, man do...to save his wife and child?

Scuperhero movies are the popular things these days not just in Hollywood but worldwide and below we have a teaser for THE RED EAGLE.
The movie comes from Thailand and are based on a character played by Mitr Chaibancha in the 1960's movie version (he sadly died when one of the movies stunts went wrong) but now 50 years on Wisit Sasanatieng has resurectted the popular character for the 21st century.
The new movie will have Ananda Everingham (Shutter) playing the new version and at one point it looked like tradegy had struck again when Everingham crashed in a motorbike accident but luckily he has pulled through and the movie will be able to be rleased in Thailand on October 13th.
Check out the trailer and synopsis after the break...

Spectacular!

3 New Spoof Trailers for Mr&Mrs Incredible

source 24FramesPerSecond
If this movie was a cheeseburger the amount of cheese on it would rocket you cholesteral leve; through the roof, but hey we do love what were seeing from MR & MRS INCREDIBLE.This was one of the reason I love cinema, something a little different, cheesy but fun looking and sadly we dont get enough of that in mainstream hollywood these days. The movie stars  Louis Koo and Sandra Ng as our heros and the movie did play out at Cannes and did get a great reaction and you can see why in the 3 teaser trailers after the break. The teasers are called "The Moon-landing story", "The Superman story" and "The Golf story" each with there mini story to tell about the movies protaganists.
This is over the topstuff here, though funny full of action as well been created on a big budget, will it be a big sucess, hard to tell as asian markets are alot different than western ones, but dont be surprised if this is a sucess itll be ripped off by Hollywood in a cheap looking remake.

Trailer For Yuasa Masaaki's YOJOHAN SHINWA TAIKEI!

During my teens into early twenties my highlight of the weekend was heading upto Glasgow city centre to the comic book shops to my latest dc or marvel comics which eventually came manga and anime. Every day I would try source out new stuff but as time went by I lost interest mostly down to lack of money to buy what I like, but more recently I have started to rediscover anime once again and like my movie education I want to rediscover my anime/manga again.
Above is a second trailer for Yuasa Masaaki's YOHJOHAN SHINWA TAIKEI  a fantastic looking anime, with first look at the first character I thought I was looking at Japan's version of Desperete Dan! But what we get here is an fine example of great Japanese animation that graphically looks alternative but still with distinctive anime traits. it seems Masaaki shifts his drawing style per project which is sometimes a good thing but can be negative as well but on first impressions this is great stuff and a example how how talented the artist is.
Yohjohan Shinwa Taikei is an anime made for Japenese TV which will be starting soon and all I can say is brilliant stuff...give me more!!!

First Look at LEGACY, Starring Idris Elba (The Wire)

Been an ex-graphic design univerity student despite not been working in that industry I still have the eye for powerful graphics and it was the posters for LEGACY (like one on left) that attracted me to what the movie was all about.
The movie was directed by Nigerian born London raised director Thomas Ikimi, so roll on February's Glasgow International Film Festival and the press launch and Thomas was there to promote his new movie and to announce Glasgow was to be the movies world premiere and closing movie. I tried in vein even with my press pass to get ticket for it along with opening movie Micmacs and I was left dissappointed.
Several people have asked me why did he picked Glasgow Film Fest not Tribeca, Sundance or even Edinburgh for his movies premiere? Simple the movie studio that back and created his movie was Black Camel from Glasgow so what better way to thank them and have it premiered in Glasgow. So whose in it and whats it all about?
The movie stars The Wire's Idris Elba as an Black Ops Operative whocomes back home after an failed mission in Eastern Europe. He's stuck in a Brooklyn motel torn apart from retribution and Salvation and as things close in on him it may only be the story is all he can leave behind.
Do you the amount of people who actually believe Idris Elba is American, well he's not ,born and bred in London just simply down to the amount of American based movies and television he has done in the past, so when I had to tell my American friends who are massive Fans of The Wire he's British they were shocked! The other thing that may surprise you is that the setting for the movie isn't actually Brooklyn its Glasgow, Scotland!!! Thomas Ikimi studied Film in New York and spent 6 years of his life in the metropolis and was able to adapt.
The movie also stars The Wire's Eamon Walker, Monique Gabriela Curnen and Richard Brake. There's No release date yet but expect a release sometime this year possibly summertime.

First Glimpse at Studio Ghibli’s Karigurashi No Arrietty (The Borrowers)

No comments:

source ThePeopleMovies
Here's the new fantastic teaser trailer for Studio Ghibli’s next released project Karigurashi No Arrietty (The Borrowers).
If you know Japanese cinema you know when animation (or anime) is released its a major thing and even more when its Studio Ghibli well its even bigger!!!The animation has been directed by Studio Ghibli’s youngest ever director (36 years old) Hiromasa Yonebayashi who has worked on the work by the great master Hayao Miyazaki’s classics Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away. This is his directoral debut and if this is like the studio’s other work it will do well. The animation is based on the Mary Norton Book The Borrowers with the great man himself writing the screenplay.
Miyazaki and Isao Takahata his long time friend and partner have looked at creating the book for over 40 years and it must have been a great honour for Yonebayashi when they passed the project to him.The movie is due a Summer release in its native Japan, July 17th but for UK and Ireland we will probably have to wait at least 1 year or more if we do get a cinematic release date, USA possibly less.
synopsis: 14-year-old Arrietty and the rest of the Clock family live in peaceful anonymity as they make their own home from items “borrowed” from the house’s human inhabitants. However, life changes for the Clocks when a human boy discovers Arrietty. - imdb
