Film Review - Moonlight (2017)

Moonlight is a touching and powerful film following the story of  Chiron (Ashton Sanders) a young man's journey to discovering who he is. WE see him from different points in his life, the bullying he faced and the hardships of his upbringing.

Altitude Films present this outstanding piece of cinema for UK audiences.

Moonlight was a film I was very interested in seeing, mainly for the fact that it touches on issues of sexuality and I was curious to see how it was dealt with.

The film is stunningly shot and the story is amazing. I think that it’s a film that will go down in history and also be deservingly noticed by the Awards.

Moonlight is a film that will hit you hard and is insanely powerful and will trigger much discussion about the treatment of those dealing with sexuality. Even though society is becoming much more mindful of sexuality bullying because of is is still a very big issue. This film, I hope will shine a light on it.

I love the film did not hold back, it took you to places I didn’t honestly think it would. It is gripping, powerful and beautiful.

One of the highlights of the award season.Brilliantly crafted and wonderfully executed. Top class performances all around and the power behind the film is incredible.

Touching and emotional. Barry Jenkin's Moonlight is a true masterpiece of modern cinema.
