Swiss Sci-fi Anthology Wonderland (Heimatand) Releases New Trailer

Switzerland is  not a country known for Dystopian or a nation known for chaos or unrest or even  facing any type of disaster. The thing might be about to change as the country known for its neutrality as the people of the small landlocked country face disaster in the sci-fi Anthology Wonderland.

Currently, our own existence could potentially in jeopardy as U.S and Russia at loggerheads over the Syrian crisis, it's only the matter of time countries like Switzerland  force us to face the end of our countries as we know them. Wonderland (Heimatand)  is facing that possibility with 10 directors coming together  to create that vision. Science Fiction is a perfect film genre to portray that vision, a vision many of us fear to face to only to picture that utopian picture when things 'were better'.

Screen Anarchy have gotten their hands on a new trailer and also spoke to Arsenal Filmverlieh Anthology's producers recently who said "Switzerland does a great job of still selling and promoting itself to the world as a clean, rich, safe and friendly country" to further say "But if you look closely at it, much has changed these last years, both on the economic and political level."The refugee crisis, right-wing scaremongering and multinational companies have gradually changed societies views and this movie looks to highlight this. It's the same here in UK.

Wonderland has been doing the rounds on the festival circuit for a while, though there might be a few previews before it's distributed in Europe from mid-December. No word on UK or Irish previews yet.

Wonderland is directed and written by Lisa Blattner, Gregor Frei, Jan Gassmann, Benny Jaberg, Carmen Jaquier, Michael Krummenacher, Jonas Meier, Tobias Noelle, Lionel Rupp, Mike Scheiwiller.
