Im sure the the term 'Romcom' is enough to scare off many of film fans, usually down to there predictability so people who like them orjust simply loathe them don't watch the trailer. THE PILL may just change your mind possibly on Romcoms or at least watching the trailer and J.C. Khoury's indie flick is at least one romcom you should at least give it a chance.
The Pill stars Noah Bean (Damages) , Rachel Boston (500 Days of Summer) 2 young adults Fred and Mindy after a night of heavy drinking get it on having un protected sex however Fred realises Mindy is not on the pill. Fred gets Mindy to take the after morning pill only to his shock that pill is a 2 part every 12 hours dose, so to get Mindy to take the second dose Fred pretends to want to get romantically involved with Mindy .
It has been described as the worst date film and best date film all rolled into one by various sites and Im like them as well as any other site I agree. There not the most likeable characters but this film does feel realistic and its probably the fact this romcom is an independent film it does n't have to tie itself to the Hollywood cliches plus no need for Kathrine Heigl or Jennifer Anniston to be in it either.
No word if this film will get a release in UK or Ireland, it will get a very very limited release in USA (probably New York) December 16th before its released on VOD in February 2012.
